Hi my name is Jenna. My niece Heather and I have been blessed to be part of Bakersfield's Biggest Loser. There are many reasons why this competition is so important to me. In 2002 I lost my Mom and best friend, she was only 59. My Mother dedicated her life to caring for others and let her health go because of that. Obesity is something that runs in my family, my Mother suffered from it and as a result she had heart problems and ultimately died of kidney failure. It was the worst day of my life. The best day of my life came on August 6, 2005 when my daughter Jaidyn was born, she is adopted. My husband and I had tried for 6 years to conceive and due to Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome we were unable to. This is something that was brought on by my weight. My beautiful little girl is not genetically predisposed to obesity the way I was. It is now fully up to me to break this cycle of obesity in my family and to set the examples that Jaidyn needs to lead a happy and HEALTHY life.
